34 Year old Co-founder Mohit Says ‘ The GreenR is one of India’s first Moden Eateries to be inspired by Californian Vegetarian Cuisine.’.


Janeya Mehta and Rishi Bhardwaj, graduates of Le Cordon Bleu Paris, from Holy Belly Food Kitchen – an experiential gourmet catering company, are partnering Chefs in the Cafe. GreenR’s partnering chefs have experimented with ‘Faux Meats’ to create dishes with Pulled Pork, Meatballs, Burgers and Tuna all made from plant sources.

Their menu also features food options for special needs – Raw, Vegan and Gluten-free. There is an emphasis on seasonal and locally available produce and ingredients.

Customers can also opt from a wide range of delicatessen and condiments that include raw and organic juices from Antidote, natural gelatos from Picco Licko, organic coffee from Blue Tokai, and hand crafted organic chocolates from Earth Loaf.

GreenR Café is Brainchild of Co-founders, Nitin Dixit had an IT consulting background in United States while Mohit Yadav had an Retail, Real Estate background , both have always shared similar “GREEN” sensibilities and were eager to design an interactive 360 degree platform that enables the consumption of conscious, purposeful, artisanal, quality and value-oriented products.

While they had an idea in place, both co-founders were entering an unknown terrain. According to Mohit, himself he has been very passionate about food niche especially healthy and Vegan. “I distinctly remember how the people really love the vegan food in the Californian region and its really inspired them to open an outlet in Urban Settlement” he adds.

The next challenge was pricing and Quality. Mohit says it was crucial for his cafe to keep the price fair and quantity should be qualitative, he agrees there is lot of possibility in the Californian Vegan Food.

Finally their dream of Healthy and Vegan Restaurant got a shape in November 2015, at Shahpur Jat Village, Delhi and GreenR café has been receiving positive response since then. Mohit says they got variable response in the very first month of café operations. Since then, they claim to have seen a growing group of returning customers especially Foreigner and a dedicated fan base for their authentic recipes.

GREENR was started with the primary focus of endorsing SUSTAINABLE LIVING in Last Week of November 2015 and since then they have been making this accessible and acceptable to an audience group that is eager to embrace it. Combined, they have over 20 years of experience in developing sustainable products in multiple industries including real estate, hospitality, retail, and consumer products.

“All growth and traction has been purely organic (mouth advertisement) and without any direct marketing overtures even though they didn’t distribute any single flyer but except some featured news in the Media. We have been getting lot of offers from Investors in order to expand their cafe, but we are now focusing to strengthen our quality before stepped-down in Next outlet across Delhi & NCR” Mohit added.
