Pirates of Grill, a new addition in the DLF Mall, Noida Sector 18 in Tandoor and grill niche restaurant.
At first sight, this ample sitting space restaurant, with table grills, live skewers and a buffet, feels like another popular barbeque chain that is mushrooming across the pan India. But, Pirates of Grill has some originals too. The lively décor, for instance — graffiti on the walls and a person in the getup of Captain Jack Sparrow, was epicenter of theme pirates. Live singing while eating is another added advantage to join this restaurant.
Their live kitchen mostly sticks to North Indian offerings, with chicken tikkas, mutton seek and spicy versions of potatoes and paneer. Apart it cold Meat salad was laid along with few continental and oriental dishes as well. Although that kind of concept is American concept with but they are focusing on North indan version very fare However, it is in seafood that the restaurant really comes into its own. The tandoori prawns and crispy fried fish were not just value for money, but also delicious surprises. Even the prawn popadums were munchy and delightful even on summer days.
After a grabbing a seat, a server would conform politely about the non-vegetarian/vegetarian options, they have marked black plate for non vegetarian while the vegetarian item served in white plates, after the confirmation process a live grill is tucked in the centre of the table and a selection of meaty substances and vegetable arrives on skewers. They would serve a dressing and dip to make your custom grilled, add your choice of dressing and these are ready to be forked onto your plate. The grilled menu serving are unlimited and it was only the temptation of the main course buffet that forced us to stop hefty cuts of Pinenut Zaffrani Broccoli , cooked with a generous and refreshing dose of fennel. The Roasted Garlic prawns were fresh and I brushed the curls with a soft butter dressing. The mutton seekh could be flavoured with red chili sauce that versions turned out to be delectable.
The menu has a decent vegetarian and non vegetarian selection. There were Olio Cheese Kurkare, that would have benefited from a longer stay on the grills, Potato Salsa of spicy fried potatoes served with mayonnaise, even sautéed cilantro Dimsum and crispy churrasco Pineapple, Bhatti Ka Murgh, ginger fried rice, Aathishi chicken Tikka while on Non-Vegetarian side, . But their mock tails didn’t amaze me it was very commonplace.
In Main, I have tried Their Rara Gosht, Chicken Biryani, Kadi Chawal , their main were equally excellent as the starter were!
From Dessert Section, I had picked their rabri jalebi gulab jamun, slice cakes, fresh seasonal fruit.
